Due to the closer scrutiny by aviation authorities and the consequent demand by the
smaller aviation operators for a simple, efficient and low cost solution to
monitor and
report on pilot flight and duty hours, these new programs have been created to
fill the current void in the aviation software market.
Both modules are tailored to facilitate efficient, reduced and simplified data entry
methods for data relating to pilots, support aircrew and aircraft. They provide constant
and immediate visual tracking of that data to produce all the hard copy reporting
requirements necessary to satisfy the safety and operating regulations of controlling
authorities.
Aircraft hours, fuel usage, maintenance alerts and statistics are an integral part of
OpsSmart2007 but limited coverage can be included in FltnDuty2007 as an optional extra.
The basic difference between the two programs is the manner in which data is
collected:
In FltnDuty2007 data records, which hold information relating pilots' individual
flights and hours of duty, are entered either by the pilot directly or by an appointed
person from submitted flight sheets. This data can be minimal (or, depending on options
chosen, quite comprehensive) in detail and will display, as each record is entered,
flight and duty hours status for the last 7, 14, 30* and 365 days. In addition, the same
screen display will show the standing of pilot completed manoeuvres, if these items have
been entered with the flight record data.
* This periodical value can be modified by the company.
In OpsSmart2007, data is generally entered, from submitted flight sheets, by a person
or persons specifically appointed to that task. This information is comprehensive and
covers the entire flight detail for all crew, aircraft, trip detail and timings.
It is from these and basic pre-entered supporting data files , that all program
output and reports are derived in both programs. Also, monthly status,
recency/currency situation, and hours reports may be produced for pilots, other
aircrew and, for aircraft.
Naturally, in both programs, currency of licenses, ratings, proficiency and training
requirements are monitored and reported. They also include an integrated system of
alerts and warnings.
All limitation and requirement criteria, from which the above results are calculated,
can be amended to suit actual parameters, authorized exemptions and future regulatory
changes.

Data entry into this program is simplified and efficient. Editing tools are provided to
automate most of these tasks, e.g. the time taken for a single flight/duty period entry
should take no longer than 10 seconds. The result is immediate. The task can be completed
either by the individual pilot or an appointed clerk, depending on operational
structure.
The program is secure and password protected so as to restrict access to authorized
personnel only.
Flt'nDuty2007 will comfortably accommodate the flight and duty records of up to
30
pilots, more with a minor program speed reduction.

Hard-copy reports generated include a standard monthly progressive flight and duty
hours record* plus periodical and specifically filtered full progressive reports. Both
types are for individual pilots. Compound reports for all pilots are also in place.
These reports meet all the current requirements of aviation authorities with regard to
pilot flight activities.
Other reports can be tailored to meet your more specific needs, if required.
