GST Effects on Prices.
Since the 1st.July 2000 the Australian government
introduced the goods and services tax (GST). This new tax affects the
prices of all our products when sold to Australian domiciled customers. Prior to
that
date, no tax was imposed on computer software but now, we are required by law, to add
the full 10% GST to the price of this product.
We,
together with about 70% of the Australian public, in our opinion, are totally against the imposition of such a tax
and have therefore simultaneously reduced the price of
our products as a result of introduced local cost efficiency measures. Consequently the GST
is now levied on this lower price, thus providing a small concession to our
Australian customers. The price reduction also applies to our overseas
customers.
